SENIOR MYSQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATORAtlanta, GA Job summaryParticipates in small to large business projects and provides project reporting to project sponsor.Designs, develops, and implements medium to complex physical databases across multiple platforms, technologies and computing environments.Monitors the performance of databases and makes tuning changes and recommendations.Oversees system capacity-planning.Performs research, prepares technical documents.Contributes to business requirements reports, feasibility studies, and cost justification statements.Articulates information architecture to clients.Consults with higher level resources to ensure consistency of recommendations with enterprise direction. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most cost effective design solutions.Works closely with technical and client management to ensure implementation of database management and support tools for business application development requirements and processes in accordance with latest enterprise direction (e.g., diverse development platforms, technological environments, software, hardware and tools).Consults with IT staff and clients to determine the impact of new or revised applications on information architecture. Consults with clients to determine information management requirements.Provides development and production support in a 24 x 7 shop.Weekend and on-call support is required.Strong database development and production support experience in a 24 x 7 MYSQL environment.SQL Server and/or Oracle background is a plus.Must have analytical ability, strong judgment, problem analysis techniques, in-depth knowledge of database administration, along with a broad knowledge of diverse data administration methodologies, database technologies, tools, and alternatives.Must have good oral/written communication and consulting skills.Strong knowledge on mysql innodb cluster, NDB cluster and repl Experience: 8 to 10 YrsRequired Skills: MySQL DB AdministrationShift: Day
